This Friday Night (6:00), September 4th, USC will take on Fresno State in the Coliseum. It will be another warmup game for USC to get the season going. Fresno State, however, is a very solid team in comparison to our first 3 easy games. A lot of people think they have the ability to maybe crack the top 25 by the end of the year. After a very poor showing from the fans vs SJSU, this will be a chance to pack the coliseum and get revenge on all of the people on the internet.

Fresno State is coming into this game as 23.5 point underdogs. They are embracing the underdog mentality and are a team that not a lot of people are paying attention too. One of their strengths are running ball. The runnings back they have and the consistent Oline to power them through could cause trouble for the Trojans. Fresno's QB is coming off of a season injury but has the experience to stabilize the bulldog offense. Their defense is nothing special, but it is important to note they are way bigger than SJSU in terms of weight and strength.

Last Saturday, USC defeated SJSU 42-26 in 100 degree weather. It was a very boring game with not much action. The score does not reflect how much USC was dominating this game. The backups did not do a great job keeping the lead and we outright lost the 4th quarter. The showing at the coliseum was very bad and it became an internet meme. Freshman WR Trent Mosley was the star of the game with 1 touchdown and 118 yards.

USC finished the 2026 High School Recruiting cycle with the #1 class! After having the previous #1 class, USC is taking a smaller class this year, currently ranking 18th. Although USC has a small class, the quality of recruits is not lacking as we are bringing in a lot of high end talent all over the country.
